Crowdster, the leading provider of easy-to-use and highly effective online fundraising software for non-profits, is pleased to announce one of its newest customers – Long Island Arts Alliance (LIAA). Crowdster launched LIAA’s fundraising site within two days in support of Giving Tuesday. LIAA intends to use this new social media fundraising channel to raise donations to build a new online Arts Therapy & Inclusion Resource for Long Island. The resource will live at ArtsAliveLI.org and will build a bridge between arts therapy and inclusion providers with those in need.

In a quote from Crowdster CEO, Joe Ferraro, “we are pleased to partner with The Long Island Arts Alliance given its mission, affiliation with the LIU Post campus and our shared desire to help bolster the community”.

In a quote from LIAA Executive Director, Theresa Statz-Smith, “After reviewing a number of alternatives, Crowdster was the logical choice given it’s ease-of-use, rapid deployment and the overall support & responsiveness of the team. It will help us in our mission to support the arts and to help spread the healing joy of the arts.”

The Crowdster team is especially excited about this new partnership because of the affiliation to Long Island University and their joint desire to help others in their community.

LIAA promotes the arts and arts education on Long Island through programs and services such as the Scholar-Artist Awards program and the ArtsAliveLI.org website, but when it comes to underserved communities, such as those who would benefit from arts therapy and inclusion programs, finding opportunities in the arts can be elusive. “Disability, prejudice and access to the arts are related. LIAA believes every person should have the opportunity to experience the richness of the arts. The crowdfunding platform will be leveraged to take these programs to the next level by using social media to expand their reach,” said Statz-Smith.

Crowdfunding has become a significant source of donations for non-profit organizations in addition to many for-profit businesses and individuals. Crowdster stands out from the competition in the non-profit marketplace with the easiest-to- use platform and long history of enabling clients to execute peer-to-peer campaigns.

Crowdster offers a unique product offering to non-profit organizations that are looking to raise funds for their causes by leveraging social media including online peer-to-peer promotion. This includes event marketing capabilities, mobile donation options, gamification and robust email marketing capabilities.

Crowdster clients have included the Major League Baseball (MLB), The Tiger Woods Foundation, Save the Children, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, The Aga Khan Foundation, The Bone Marrow Foundation and others.
